Joint Pain Remedy

Have you ever thought of the stress that your joints take? They support your body weight, let you move and also connects your bone. They are made for all this but due to various reason, they face the problem and then you suffer from joint pain. They can be very discomfort able at times and during such period it’s obvious you will look for joint pain remedy.

There are different factors which lead to joint pain and treatment for each of them are different. Still, if you try these remedy your pain will be alleviated temporarily.

Ice Therapy

Tissue swelling sometimes leads to joint pain. Thus, if you apply an ice pack on the affected area then the cold temperature will reduce blood flow to that area. Apply ice pack every hour for the whole day in the affected area. You can apply it for about 15 minutes. You should not apply ice directly on the skin but wrap it with some cloth.

Hydrotherapy

As ice reduces blood flow, warm water can also help in reducing the pain. It reduces the pressure on muscles and joints. You can take warm water and immerse the affected area in it. Remember the temperature should be suitable for your skin. Even bathing with warm water will also do magic. You can also use warm water bottle for pressing on the area where you are suffering pain.

Massage

Massaging the joints with pain is also helpful in relieving joint pain. If you can get it done professionally, if not use menthol rub in the affected area which will ease the joint pain. Also, remember that while you massage your joints the strokes should be in the direction of your heart.

Stretch

Sometimes while you are suffering from pain you stop the movement. This may increase the pain because your body is made for movements. When the muscles become inactive they may get worse. Thus, it is best that you practice gentle stretch. It will keep you mobile and at the same time keep the pain at bay. You can discuss with your doctor or therapist who will suggest you the best stretches for your condition.

Try natural painkillers

You will always have medicine available when your pain is not bearable, but before that, you can try some natural painkillers. Turmeric is a common herb that is found in most kitchen. Add it to hot milk and its antiseptic properties will help in healing your joint pain. Eating anything that is rich in calcium is always useful like walnut, flaxseeds and amla.
