They say sleep for at least eight hours a day to stay healthy. The problem is that you cannot sleep for a few hours too. Sleepless nights are not only too long to pass but they make you lead a lifeless time the next day. Your physical, as well as emotional health, is affected and you do not know how to overcome!

Move your legs
There are many instances that show how exercising can help you overcome sleeping issues. If you do exercise for at least four days a week, if not every day, then you can see the change yourself. A couch potato will never be able to enjoy a good night sleep. Also, make sure that you exercise well before sleeping so that its effects do not hamper your sleep.
Have your own sleep routine
You may sleep for six hours a day that is fine but in order to have sound sleep during those six hours make sure that you follow a routine. If you sleep until afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays your routine will be disrupted and your body will not able to understand what is the time of your sleeping. Then you will find that during the right hours you are unable to sleep.
Be a Luddite at least one hour before sleeping
It has been found in different studies that most people watch television or use their cell phone before going to sleep. It is not a good habit as because the light from these devices makes your brain stimulus and it cannot wind off easily. Hence, it is better to keep these things away at least before one hour of going to sleep.
Make your bedroom sleep-friendly
In order to have sound sleep your bedroom too will play a vital role. You must keep it lighted in such a way that there is not much that will affect your brain. It’s better not have any sound in the bedroom just before you sleep as it will alert your brain and it will not sleep easily. The bed should be cosy and cleaned properly so that you can feel nice when you lie down on it.
Take time to wind down
There are different practices that will help you get into sleep naturally. Like, you can meditate just before sleeping. Listening to soft music will also help. Read a book and gradually you will find your eyelashes becoming heavy. Do not take heavy food just before bedtime and also avoid any hot beverage.
